Chennai: Actress Divya Spandana, who is also a former member of Parliament and a filmmaker, has welcomed the Karnataka government’s decision to cap for a movie ticket prices across the state for Rs 200.

The actress also appreciated the government’s decision to launch the state run-on platform to promote Kannada cinema.
He wrote, “OTT platforms are biased towards other languages and do not buy Kannada films and a state run government forum is another great step! @Siddaramaiah ”
It can be remembered that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced several steps to help the Kannada film industry while presenting the budget. Caping the prices of tickets across the state and the launch of a state run OTT platform was only two of them.
Another remarkable step was giving the status of ‘industry’ to the Kannada film sector which can now enjoy the benefits available in areas under the industrial policy.
Meanwhile, rumors who round the film industry suggests that Divya Spandana is likely to return to her acting. He was last played in the lead role in Kodi Ramakrishna’s ‘Nagrao’. Although he played a cameo in the hostel Huducaru Beckgidare, he has not played any lead role. Now, the reports round in the industry suggests that he is likely to play the lead role in a film by director Yograj Bhat. However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard so far.
