New Delhi:

Days after being robbed in Italy, television couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya will soon be returning to India. On Sunday, the couple shared a joint post to thank the Indian Embassy for making their ‘homecoming’ possible. Divyanka shared a picture of herself and husband Vivek Dahiya, in which they can be seen holding emergency certificates. For the unversed, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya lost Rs 10 lakh and passports after being robbed in Florence a few days ago. The couple had gone to Europe to celebrate their wedding anniversary together. Sharing the picture, Divyanka wrote, “Heading to India soon. We want to thank ‘AAP’ for your immense love and support. Thank you so much Indian Embassy for making our ‘homecoming’ possible.” Take a look:

On Saturday, Divyanka shared an update and told fans and followers that the money situation is okay as they have received help from a friend. Divyanka wrote, “Dear all, Thank you for your immense love and support. It really means a lot. After losing so much, thankfully much needed love hasn’t been lost. Giving updates to our loved ones and concerned people as we are unable to respond to everyone individually. Currently our money situation is okay as we have received some help from a dear friend.”

Divyanka further added in her post, “We have changed the rented car as thankfully it had insurance. We are heading to the embassy in another city today to get the emergency certificate. Also, we haven’t lost everything – as is being reported. We have a few things left with us which were in the car’s trunk. Also, our soul is safe. No one can take that away from us.”

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Vivek Dahiya recalled the harrowing experience. Speaking to ETimes, Vivek said, “Everything about this trip has been incredible, except for this incident. We arrived in Florence yesterday and planned to stay for a day. We went to check out a property for our stay and left all our luggage in the car parked outside. However, when we returned to collect our luggage, we were shocked to see that the lock of the car had been broken, and our passports, wallets, money, shopping and all our valuables were missing. Luckily, they left behind some old clothes and food items.”

Divyanka married her ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ co-star Vivek on 8 July 2016 in Bhopal.
