Divyanka Tripathi Italy theft case: Money issue resolved, couple to get emergency certificate from embassy

Mumbai: Actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, who had revealed on July 11 that she and her husband actor Vivek Dahiya were robbed in Europe, has given an update on their condition.

The actress said her “money situation” is now sorted, and she will visit the embassy in another city on Friday to obtain an emergency certificate.

Divyanka posted a note on Instagram story and informed her followers about the situation.

“Dear all, Thank you for your immense love and support. It really means a lot! After losing so much, thankfully much needed love hasn’t been lost! Giving updates to loved ones and those concerned as we are unable to respond to everyone individually.”

Explaining their situation, he said: “Right now, our financial situation is somewhat okay as we have received some help from a dear friend. We have changed the rented car, as thankfully it had insurance. We are heading to the embassy in another city today to get the emergency certificate.

“Besides, we haven’t lost everything as it is being said. We have some things left which were in the trunk of the car. Also, our soul is safe! No one can take it away from us!”

On July 11, the actress reported that most of her essentials, including her passport, bank cards, and expensive accessories, were robbed.

Divyanka had earlier posted about the incident on her Instagram story, where she confirmed, “Vivek and I are safe and sound but most of our essentials, passports, bank cards and expensive items have gone missing from our car. We are just hoping for immediate help from the embassy.”

“The car was parked in a secure resort property when it was stolen. Please don’t bother giving us suggestions on what precautions should have been taken. The resort was aware of the ‘stuff in the car’ situation, and they were cool about it.”

“This could happen to anyone… but I hope it doesn’t! If you can help, please do, or show sympathy. If that seems hard to do… please keep doing your job,” she added.
