New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor reportedly refused to work with Sonakshi Sinha in 2012 as he felt the Heeramandi actress looked older than him. Ranbir who is 4 years older than Sonakshi, did not want to romance her as he felt their pairing would not look good. It is also claimed that the makers of the film had tried to convince the actor to stay in the project but he decided not to do so and hence they had to choose the Ramayan actor for Sonakshi.
According to a BollywoodLife report in 2012, the source had claimed that the Animal star backed out of the project because he was not keen on romancing Sonakshi. The report stated, “The Rockstar fame actor was not particularly excited about sharing screen space with Sonakshi. Ranbir believed that Sona looked much older than him and their pairing would not look believable. When Ranbir realised that the film’s makers were adamant on casting Sonakshi, he rejected the film.”
Sonakshi Sinha was the box office queen in 2012 and gave several 100 crore films with Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. The actress is currently in the news for her inter-caste marriage with Bollywood actor Zaheer Iqbal.
