Ear 2025: Paul Mascel, Josh O’Coner History of sound Receives six minutes of standing ovation


Los Angeles:

Oliver Harmanas earned a six -minute standing ovation by Hollywood stars Paul Mascel and Josh O’Coner’s Gay Romance, The History of Sound.

While Mascal got a permanent ovation while walking, O’Coner had to remember the premiere as he was filming his share in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film and could not make it.

“It has been one of the most amazing creative collaborations of my very, very small career, but it has been a will for the talent of Paul Mascal,” director Harmanas said, Variety.com.

“The History of Sound” marked the sixth feature of Harmanas, starring his most recent “Living” Bill Nighi of 2022. The last time in the Hermanas Cannes competition was with her Sophomore film “Beauty” in 2011, who saw a closet person after coming with his sexuality.

The film won the festival’s Quir Palm and was selected as an Oscar entry of South Africa for the best foreign language film, but did not eventually shortlist.
