Mumbai: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, several celebrities including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sidharth Malhotra, Sunny Deol took to their social media platforms to wish fans and followers celebrating the festival today.
Priyanka Chopra shared an animated Eid picture on Instagram Stories and wrote, “Eid ul Azha Mubarak. On Eid ul Azha, wishing that your sacrifices are appreciated and your prayers are heard by the Almighty. Eid ul Azha Mubarak!”
Anil Kapoor shared a beautiful illustration of Eid on his Instagram story and captioned his post, “There couldn’t have been a more beautiful expression of the spirit of Eid… #EidMubarak.”
Sidharth Malhotra wrote, “Eid al-Adha.”
Releasing a motion poster, Sunny Deol wrote, “Wishing everyone peace, harmony and good health on this auspicious day! Eid al-Adha.”

Eid-ul-Adha is a holy occasion and is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic or lunar calendar. It marks the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
This festival is an occasion of joy and peace, where people celebrate with their families, forget old grievances and build meaningful relationships with each other. It is celebrated as a remembrance of Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice everything for God.

In Uttar Pradesh, devotees gathered at Mubarak Khan Shaheed Mazar in Gorakhpur and Jama Masjid in Noida.
Meanwhile, a huge crowd of Namazis was seen at Makhdoom Ali Mahimi Mosque in Mumbai’s Mahim. Hearty celebrations were also held at Bhopal’s Idgah Mosque, Coimbatore’s Islamia Matriculation Higher Secondary School and several places in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai.
A huge crowd of devotees gathered at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Trivandrum, Kerala became a place of mass prayer and contemplation.
People also gathered at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram to offer Eid prayers.
