Eko: What’s the movie about?
Eko, directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written and filmed by Bahlul Ramesh, stars Sandeep Pradeep in a powerful lead role. This is the duo’s second collaboration after the acclaimed hit Kishkindha Kaandam.
Set in the mist-filled hills of Kattukunnu, the film revolves around an elderly woman and her caretaker who begin to confront the buried secrets of her past, as her husband – Kuriyachan, a notorious dog handler and fugitive – is being hunted. As strangers arrive in the mountains searching for her, Mlathi Chedathi and Pius must deal with a maze of hidden truths, guilt and long-hidden secrets.
The film spans multiple timelines and locations, further deepening the intrigue of the thriller. After Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files: Season 2, Eko also concluded Bahul Ramesh’s ambitious Animal Trilogy.
The cast includes Sandeep Pradeep, Biyana Momin, Sim Zee Fei, Vineet, Ranjit Shekhar and Sahir Muhammad.
