Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have reportedly left the US forever after Donald Trump returned to power.
Talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres has reportedly left the United States and moved to England with her actor-wife Portia de Rossi. Ellen and Portia leave America for England
tmz Cited sources with ‘direct knowledge’ of Ellen and Portia’s move and said the couple have now settled into a new home in the Cotswolds – a region of south-west England about 2 hours from London.
The report said that Ellen and Portia had bought the place before the US elections, but they decided to move there after Trump’s victory earlier this month. The source said they were “very disappointed” by Trump’s victory and decided to “exit” immediately. The move could be permanent for the celeb couple, as TMZ reports also claiming they are now listing their home in Montecito, California. He had previously sold his second mansion in the US for $96 million.
Ellen DeGeneres supports Kamala Harris
Ellen and Portia were among the most vocal supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris, Donald Trump’s main rival in the 2024 US presidential election. “There is nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next President,” Ellen wrote on Instagram in September. He also donated $3,300 to Harris’ campaign. While many celebrities have threatened to leave the US if Trump wins, Ellen is the first person to follow through on that promise.
Ellen famously vowed to never invite Donald Trump on her show, saying she did not agree with his brand of politics, particularly his strong stance against the liberal media.
