Ellen DeGeneres candidly discusses aging in her new special on Netflix titled ‘For Your Approval,’ which was released on Tuesday. She revealed her triple diagnosis after resigning as a talk show host and staying out of the limelight after allegedly creating a toxic environment at her workplace. DeGeneres was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD along with osteoporosis. In the Netflix special, she told viewers how she took a “stupid bone density test”, which revealed she had “full-blown osteoporosis”.

In her special message, the 66-year-old woman said, “I don’t even know how I’m standing right now. I’m like a human sandcastle. I can shatter in the shower. According to the National Institutes of Health, osteoporosis is described as a “bone disease” that develops when bone mineral density and bone mass are reduced, leading to “a reduction in bone strength that leads to The risk of fractures may increase”.
DeGeneres recalled how she was diagnosed with osteoporosis, saying, “I had excruciating pain one day and I thought I had torn a ligament or something and I got an MRI and they said, ‘No, it’s just Have arthritis.’ I said, ‘How did I get that?’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, it just happens as you age.'” The Ellen DeGeneres Show host admitted that “it’s hard to be honest about aging and still look good.”
He also revealed that he began therapy after fans’ “hate” took a toll on his mental health. During therapy, she was diagnosed with ADHD (anxiety deficit/hyperactivity disorder) and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). DeGeneres revealed that she initially thought the O in OCD stood for organized. “I didn’t know what OCD was,” he said. I was raised in a religion, Christian Science, that does not accept diseases or disorders. So no one talked about it when I was growing up. There was no discussion on anything.
He further explained exclusively to the laughing crowd, “My ADD makes it really hard to sit down and focus on anything. I mean, do you know how hard it was for me to keep it together Of course you don’t. Why would I ask that question?

DeGeneres talks about abuse allegations
She concluded her segment about aging in her new Netflix special with, “So, I have ADD, I have OCD, I’m losing my memory. But I think I’m well adjusted because I’m passionate about things, but then I don’t have the attention span to stick with it, and I quickly forget what I’m passionate about in the first place. Was obsessed with. So, I think it’s just taking time for me to adjust well,” as reported by Page Six.
DeGeneres revealed allegations of misconduct and created a toxic work environment for her employees. He touched off the public controversy of being a promoter of “racism, fear and intimidation”, which led to his talk show ending in 2022 after 19 seasons.
“When you are a public figure, you are open to everyone’s interpretation,” he said. And I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, ‘I don’t care what other people think about me.’ Because people will say all kinds of things and you have no control over it. But you know the truth and that’s what matters.”
She agreed that before she “cared about what people thought”, but now “she can’t do it anymore”.
