London: The demise of iconic singer Ozi Osbourne has made his friend and fellow composer Elton John very sad. After knowing about Ozi’s death, Elton took on Instagram to pay a emotional tribute to the late singer.
“Very sad to hear the news of passing @ozzyosbourne. He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer, who secured his place in the rock gods’ Pantians – a true legend. He was one of the funniest people who I had met anytime. I will miss him a lot. I will miss him a lot.” Read Elton’s post.
He also shared a throbac photo with Osbourne.
Ozi breathed his last on Tuesday after a year of struggle with Parkinson’s disease. TMZ reported that the news of Ozi’s death was confirmed by his family through a statement.
The statement said, “This is only with more sorrow than words, it can tell that we have to tell that our beloved Ozi Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and was surrounded by love. We ask all to honor our family’s privacy at this time.”

In January 2020, after two years of increasing health problems, Osborne announced that he was detected Parkinson’s disease. In February 2023, he issued a statement stating that he was retiring from the tour citing spinal injuries in the 2018 accident.
He said, “[I]n all good conscience, I have now realized that I am not able to physically do my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I cannot deal with the necessary journey. Believe me when I say that it was thought to disappoint my fans that I am really f ****, so more than what you know. “I would never have thought that the days of my visit would have ended in this way.”
