Mumbai: Grammy Award winner Enrique Iglesias set the stage ablaze with his stellar performance at his Mumbai concert, marking his grand comeback to India after 13 years. The global pop icon welcomed thousands of fans with a warm “Namaste” and won hearts as she performed on the first day of her two-day concert series at the MMRDA Grounds.
Enrique got the audience dancing and singing along to his classic hits. The Spanish singer could be seen warmly greeting the crowd with folded hands, prompting thousands of fans to cheer.
Bollywood celebrities including Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Rubina Dilaik, Anu Malik and Disha Parmar were among the many stars who attended global pop icon Enrique Iglesias’ concert at Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds on October 29. The event marked the Spanish singer’s much-awaited return to India after 13 years and attracted an enthusiastic crowd of over 25,000 fans.

Dressed in an all-black casual look complete with his signature cap, Iglesias performed many of his chart-topping hit songs including ‘Subame la Radio’, ‘Freak’, ‘Chasing the Sun’, ‘Be With You’, ‘Heartbeat’, ‘Duel El Corazon’ and his breakthrough single ‘Bailamos’. She enthralled the audience with her rendition of songs like ‘Me Pasay’ ‘El Pardon’, ‘Cuando Me Enamoro’ and timeless classics like ‘I Like How It Feels’, ‘Bailando’, ‘Third of Being Sorry’, ‘Ring My Bells’, ‘Takin’ Back My Love’, ‘Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)’, ‘Hero’ and ‘Escape’. The grand finale, which included ‘I Like It’, was unforgettable as hundreds of white balloons with her initials (EI) filled the sky amid fireworks.
Other celebrities spotted at the star-studded event included Abhinav Shukla, Tina Dutta, Aditya Seal, Anushka Ranjan, Sonal Chauhan, Tanisha Mukherjee, Jay Bhanushali, Gurumeet Choudhary, Debina Bonnerjee, Elnaaz Norouji, Ori Avatramani, Pragya Jaiswal and Shriya Saran.
As Iglesias brought his signature passion and energy, many people were seen dancing, singing and capturing the unforgettable moments on their phones. The two-day concert series is promoted and produced by EVA Live.
According to the press release, the event featured a high-energy, 90-minute set featuring 19 chart-topping hits and fan favorites from her illustrious career, marking her first performance in Mumbai.
Supporting artists included talented Indo-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi and electrifying EDM duo Progressive Brothers, who entertained the crowd with their thrilling performances.
The Spanish superstar received a warm welcome from the Mumbai crowd and instantly struck a chord with fans across generations. Reflecting Iglesias’ widespread popularity in India, fans from cities like Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Goa, Pune, Kolkata and Chandigarh came to Mumbai to be a part of the event.
An even larger audience of around 30,000 people is expected for the second day of the concert on October 30.
