Washington DC: Euphoria star Eric Dane has revealed that he was detected a rare degenerative disease, the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), stated by people.
In an interview with Peoples, Dane shared a shocking revelation about his health, which surprised his fans. The Euphoria actor said that he had discovered ALS and thanked his family for his support in navigating this “next chapter” of his life.
“I have come to know ALS,” he shares. Dane said, “I am grateful to my love with my love because we navigate this next chapter.”
The 52 -year -old actor married Rebecca Gahart, and the couple shared two children, Billy Beatris, 15 and Georgia Geraldin, 13.
Dane also assured his fans that he would return to Euphoria’s set to shoot the third installment of the series. He requested media and fans to provide privacy to him and his family during this phase of his life.
“I feel lucky that I am able to continue working and eager to return to the set of enthusiasm next week,” he tells the Peepal Magazine. “I please ask that you give my family and I give privacy during this time,” Dane said.
According to Peoples, Dane, who currently acts as Cal Jacobs in the series Euphoria, will begin production of season 3 of the hit HBO show on 14 April.
Euporia went into production in season 3 2025 after a long delay in the third installment of the HBO drama series.
ALS, also known as Lu Gehrig disease, is a rare degenerative disease that causes progressive muscle paralysis. Patients first experience the twitch or weakness in one organ, which often occurs after a slad speech, people said.
According to the Mayo Clinic, as quoted by people, the ALS affects nerve cells in the brain and controls muscle speed. The patients slowly lose the ability to speak, eat, walk and exhaust independently.
According to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, there is no cure for ALS, and people usually live three to five years after the diagnosis. However, some patients may last for decades.
In addition to Dane, other notable stars diagnosed with ALS include Aaron Lazar, John Driscale Hopkins, Eric Stevens, who Bonsal, Roberta Flack, Kenneth Mitchell and Stephen Hawking.
