Actress Adha Sharma attracted attention in 2023 with great success of ‘The Kerala Story’. He made his film debut in 2008 with a supernatural outing ‘1920’ by Vikram Bhatt. She has traveled a long way since her first venture in the showbiz world. The actress told Zee News Digital How difficult it is for an outsider to make it big in Bollywood, films close to his heart and much more
Q. How did the success of ‘Kerala Story’ affect your career?
The story of Kerala really changed things for me. It saw a lot of filmmakers as a person who can take a film as a single lead – especially projects with strong female heroes and large budgets. This gave me the confidence to rely on stories that are bold, layered and led by women.
Q. How difficult is it for an outsider to make it big in Bollywood today?
Easy to blind the Everest on one leg. it’s not impossible.
Q. Which of your films are closest to your heart?
Each film that I have ever done. But my first film is 1920 because this was the first thing I ever did. I was advised to do so because people told me that you are starting with horror, you will look ugly in the film. No girl makes her debut with horror. But the audience immediately accepted me and because they dared to put me in various projects. The story of Kerala due to the piles of reasons. I have to write a whole thesis on why it is close to me. My Telugu Debut Heart Attack, Rita Sanyal, Buster and Sunflower 2. In fact, I have named every project and not!
Q. Any checklist of filmmakers with whom you want to work?
I want to work with them all. The question is, everyone wants to work with me. Bringing a great role and part of a good story and script, working with good people I want to do.
Q. Are you bent on Instagram?
Define hooks. It is very addictive. But when I am at work, on filming a film set, I keep my phone on airplane mode. The big complaint that I get from friends, family, industry is that I am mostly unavailable on the phone.
Q. Tell us about your upcoming projects
A lot and a lot is happening. Action, romance, drama are all and I am the most excited that each role is very different from another.
