In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Karan Aujla talks about his journey, his fans and how his past has shaped the music he makes today.
He also mentioned an incident that happened during his London concert, when a fan threw a shoe at him while he was performing.
The Punjabi singer shared, “I always believe in treating my fans with respect because they are the reason I am here today.”
Karan Aujla said, “I was performing on stage, giving my 100%, and suddenly this happened. You know, as artistes, we put our heart and soul into every performance and we want to create memories. It’s not just about me – any artist deserves basic respect when they’re performing. Most of my supporters show love in the right way, they sing, they dance. do, they enjoy music Are – that’s what matters.”
He said, “The trend of throwing weird things on the stage… it’s not in our culture, it’s not our way of showing appreciation. I just want respect – not just for me, but for every artiste who comes on that stage.” ” ,
When Karan was asked about the most memorable fan interaction so far, he shared a touching story from a concert in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He shared that some fans had come from Chandigarh on their bikes through hilly roads to see him perform.
“These people walked so far, on those mountain paths, to attend my performance. That day I felt like I was doing something right. These are the moments that tell you that your music is really reaching people’s hearts.” Not the views, not the numbers, but this pure dedication from the fans really touched my heart, sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact.”
Karan Aujla will conclude his India tour in Hyderabad on January 5.
