Mumbai: Ali Fazal has become the OTT king after three successful seasons of Mirzapur. Mirzapur 3 has been released and the actor is again receiving praise for playing the role of Guddu Pandit. He once again lived the character and showed that no one can be a better Guddu Bhaiya than him. But this season has received mixed reactions and fans claim that it was not as good as the previous season and have expressed their disappointment.
After the release of Mirzapur, Ali Fazal had a special conversation with Zee News Reacting to the mixed responses the show has received, when asked about the same he said, “With a show like this, it’s so vast, one thing that is in my control is the character that I am playing and the graph that I am setting. And the rest is something that I don’t want to get involved in, like suddenly sitting with the creators and saying, ‘Hey man streamline it this way or that way.'”
Ali even said that he is scared of doing long format shows after doing Mirzapur, “There is definitely a different approach when you ask me about other projects, but Mirzapur is the only show that I have managed to do and I am very scared of being a part of a long format show after that because mentally it is very tiring. So my selection process is different.”
He further added, “It’s a wonderful world and I have enjoyed it and it has also made me grow as an actor”. Talking about his excitement for Mirzapur season 4, Ali said that he secretly enjoys the long wait and hence he doesn’t want to comment on it. Ali Fazal is one of the most versatile actors and has indeed come a long way.
