New Delhi: Pawan Malhotra has worked in many films and today he is doing great in his professional career. However, there was a time when he signed films that did not have any major roles. An example of this is “Pardes”, which had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Pawan recently revealed that most of his scenes in the film were deleted for a specific reason. Pawan played Shah Rukh Khan’s friend in the film, who guides him in his life. Hardly anyone except the 90s kids would remember Pawan being a part of the film. Pawan had very little screen time, but he acted brilliantly.
In an exclusive conversation with Zee News, when Pawan was asked about this film, he said, “I have worked with Shah Rukh in Circus before and it is always a pleasure to share the screen with him. Talking about Pardes, I got a call from Subhash Ghai’s office where he offered me this film. I thought ‘what is my role’. Then I met Subhash at his home for the same film and I asked him again what my role would be. He looked at me and laughed and said he will bring the script. A few days later Subhash contacted me and I agreed to it.”
Pawan said, “The film was too long and they had to shorten it and so they even removed most of my scenes with Shah Rukh. I have no complaints as such things keep happening in the film industry. I really enjoyed working with Subhash Ghai and it was a great experience.”
