You may recognize him by his face, but not by his name. This man has spent 40 years in the industry and has done remarkable work in these years. But still there are times when the common man is unable to remember his name. Pawan Raj Malhotra is a great actor who spreads magic with his impeccable talent. He had an exclusive conversation with Zee News in which he told how he feels that even today people are unable to recognize his name and he also told why this happens.
Talking to Zee News, Pawan said, “Yes, it has happened to me many times, people come to me and say, ‘Hey sir, what a wonderful thing you do, your chatter was very good, but I don’t remember your name’. This also happens because I have not used the media. I always feel that I am an actor and I do my work very honestly and God is very kind to me that I am constantly getting good work.”
The Grahan actor further added, “It always used to bother me why people don’t know my name, it is very important for any actor to be recognised by his name. That is why I started taking my name while acting. One day I angrily asked one of my directors why people don’t know my name and he told me a very interesting thing- he said, ‘You are such a great artist and many times it happens that your characters stay with them, so they may forget your name but they will never forget the character’. I felt he was absolutely right and since then I don’t care much whether people know my name or not. I have said this before and say it now too that God is very kind and I have got everything I wanted.”
Pawan Raj Malhotra will be seen playing an antagonist in his upcoming web series Pill, which also stars Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role, who is also making his OTT debut with the series.
