A slices of North America’s natural surprise have made their way to the RK beach, as the Niagara Falls-Theme exhibition in Andhra University is attracted to the crowd. Spread up to 30 feet high and 180 feet, artificial waterfall is the focal point of a month -long exhibition, which gives visitors a chance to experience the thrill and glory of the iconic falls here in Visakhapatnam. Made at a cost of ₹ 40 lakh, the detailed set took about a month to build. Raja Reddy, the owner of the exhibition, says, “We use about four lakh liters of water every day, of which 50,000 liters are recycled.” Flowing water, which comes in four feet deep area, creates a constant spraying and foam effect. In the air days, the foam is transported to the air, adds enthusiasm and provides a sensory experience to the people standing nearby. The set has also become a popular selfie point. The waterfall is not just a spectacle. A curated marmade show characterized by certified free divers from the Philippines has added a special touch to the exhibition. Wearing clothes in marmed costumes, the artists captured the imaginations of the same children and adults to the audience with their beautiful water tricks. In addition, a beautifully designed Kashmir set, artificial ice, complete with pine trees and sightseeing, offers a picturesque selfie spot for visitors. For thrills, the exhibition offers a variety of entertainment rides that range from heart pounds to family friendly. There are about 23 rides including dropping tower, double ranger and double disk. “Some rides use special equipment imported from Italy, which ensure both safety and enhanced performance,” Rajay says. More than 60 CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the mob movement and ensure a safe environment for all visitors. The layout also includes adequate walking space, shopping and snack stalls and comfortable areas, which are looking at leisurely evening from the site of the sea shore.
The exhibition is open from 4 pm to 10 pm. Admission fee. Is 100.
