Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran met Tamil superstar Rajinikanth on Monday and showed him the trailer of his much awaited direction, L2: EmpuranMalayalam superstar Mohanlal starring. L2: Empuran2019 sequel LuciferIt is set to release in theaters on 27 March.
Prithviraj took on his official X handle to share a picture with Rajinikanth. He revealed that the superstar reacted his reaction, some “he would cherish forever.”
Earlier, at the launch of the teaser L2: EmpuranPrithviraj had said that he came close to directing Rajinikanth in a film, but he could not prepare the script well on time. Prithviraj said that a Sabskaran of Laika Productions, which is doing banker – L2: EmpuranOnce he approached him for a project starring Rajinikanth under his banner.
“The opportunity was very good for a new director like me, and I tried my best to see if I could come with something. Sabkkaran sir wanted the project to be within a particular time. Since I am a part -time director, I could not come up with a subject for the manufacturer. So, it did not happen,” he said.
While the film was not physical with Laika Productions and Rajinikanth, it started the friendship between the actor and Sabkkaran, he said. Prithviraj said, “I hope this (this) will happen someday. It is such an ambitious film. I read the entire script and I liked that the film was on paper. I immediately said yes about it.”
The actor-director said that Sabkaran was eager about his next direction venture, only to come on board as a manufacturer L2: Empuran“Meanwhile, Sabkaran sir asked me,” Can’t you direct a film with Rajni? ” I said, ‘Unfortunately I am not able to crack the idea. Meanwhile, in a recent interview Galata plusPrithviraj revealed that he had a story that he thought Rajinikanth would fit. He said that when asked what, he says, a script written for a superstar like Mohanlal will easily be transmitted for another superstar like Rajinalkant.
