Farah Khan’s birthday special: Watch her blockbuster movies and choreographed hit dance numbers

Mumbai: Multi-talented Bollywood star Farah Khan is celebrating her 60th birthday today. From starting his career as a choreographer to directing blockbuster films like ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’, this Bollywood star has made a name for himself in the Hindi entertainment industry.

As the director-choreographer celebrates his 60th birthday today, let’s take a look at some of his iconic direction and choreographed songs.

Main Hoon Na (2004)

This film starring Shah Rukh Khan was the directorial debut of Farah Khan. The film also featured Bollywood’s King Khan along with Sushmita Sen, Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Kirron Kher and others in lead roles. The film was commercially successful at the box office and earned the tag of the second highest-grossing film of 2004.

Om Shanti Om (2007)

Farah Khan has directed a handful of films as she has focused on quality rather than quantity. It was the debut film of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. It was co-written and directed by Farah Khan. Along with the lead pair, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade, Kirron Kher and Yuvika Chaudhary in lead roles. It was the highest-grossing film of 2007.

Tees Maar Khan (2010)

After directing back-to-back successful films at the box office, Farah Khan turned to Akshay Kumar for her next directorial venture ‘Tees Maar Khan’. Although the film was not a box office success, it was later considered one of the best classic parody films of India. It also featured Katrina Kaif, Akshay Khanna, Arya Babbar, Raghu Ram, Rajeev Laxman and Ali Asgar in lead roles.

Directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, Happy New Year is one of the most successful Bollywood films. The film starred actors like Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff in lead roles. It was one of the highest grossing films of Bollywood at that time.

I went here, I went there

The song from the 2003 film Koi…Mil Gaya starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta won the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography and the National Film Award. This romantic song still forces people to dance.
