Farhan Akhtar meets Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to launch ‘My Stamp’ in honor of Rezang La battle

Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming war epic, 120 Bahadur, based on the famous Battle of Rezang La, recently launched a ‘My Stamp’ to honor the extraordinary bravery of the soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army.

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who plays an important part in the film, shared the good news on his social media account and also shared some pictures of the same. Announcing the news with pride, Farhan wrote, “What better way to honor the bravery and sacrifice of our fallen soldiers? Today, the Indian Postal Service commemorates the Battle of Rezang La by releasing a new postage stamp. Thank you to Hon’ble Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh Ji for taking out time for the inauguration. We are extremely grateful,” along with a folded hands emoticon.

In the photo shared by Farhan, Honorable Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled the postage stamp in New Delhi. Director General of Postal Services Shri Jitendra Gupta was also present; Director Rajneesh ‘Razi’ Ghai; Farhan Akhtar; Ritesh Sidhwani; Amit Chandra; and Arhaan Bagti, who together released the customized ‘My Stamp’ on the Rezang La War Memorial issued by the Department of Posts. The initiative celebrates the unmatched courage, sacrifice and spirit of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives at Rezang La, ahead of the 63rd anniversary of this historic battle.

For those unaware, the revered Rezang La War Memorial stands as a solemn tribute to the extraordinary bravery of the soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army. Located in Chushul, Ladakh, this memorial honors the unmatched courage, sacrifice and indomitable spirit of those who sacrificed their lives during the Battle of Rezang La in the India-China War of 1962.

This memorial serves as a permanent reminder of their valor, ensuring that the valor and sacrifice of these soldiers will be remembered by future generations. This stamp celebrates this heritage and the supreme sacrifice these soldiers made for the country. Talking about the 120 bravehearts, the film narrates this extraordinary story of courage led by Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, played by Farhan Akhtar, who stood strong, along with his men, at one of the most defining moments in Indian military history.

Directed by Rajneesh ‘Reji’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment) and Amit Chandra (Trigger Happy Studios), the film will be released in theaters on November 21, 2025.
