Fawad Khan is officially returned, and how! The dashing actor, who is all set to make his much awaited Bollywood comeback with Abir Gulal, set the stage ablass with co-star Wani Kapoor at the film’s Grand Music Launch in Dubai. Conducted in the prestigious Global Village on 19 April, the program was no less than the great-and fans could not get enough for their red-warm chemistry!
The music joined by Mestro Amit Trivedi, the stars gave fans a night to remember. The biggest highlight? Fawad and Vanani together took off the charisma and chemistry, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. As the clips went viral with this incident, fans could not stop thinking about ‘Khudya Ishaq’ performance – a soulful track from the film that was brought into life by the magnetic pair.
In one of the most spoke of the evening, Fawad harassed the crowd with ‘Kuch Na Kaho’, while Abir Gulal’s teaser played in the background. The crowd erupted with a thunderous applause, as the Suve Star took the mic, reminding the fans why they remember him.
Meanwhile, Vani Kapoor used to look at every diva as she joined the funeral on stage, swept away the tunes of the film and increased enthusiasm for onscreen magic.

Boycott controversy: The film faces political heat
Despite the enthusiasm, Abir Gulal is not free from controversy. The film has expressed displeasure with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), who has demanded a ban on the film in Maharashtra due to Fawad’s Pakistani roots. MNS leader Ameya Khopkar issued a strong warning, stating, “We will not allow Pakistani artists to allow any film released in Maharashtra. I dared to release them.”
Directed by Aarti Ke Baghdi, Abir Gulal has been slated for a dramatic release on 9 May 2025. Whether you are a dye-hard fan fan or Bollywood lover, the film promises drama, romance, music-and many headlines.
