More than 35 acclaimed filmmakers associated with the economous distributor and streaming platform Mubi have signed an open letter, demanding the company to cut relations with investor Sequia Capital at the link of Israeli military technical firms.

Signators include prominent international directors such as Aki Kauriski, Redu Jude, Miguel Gomes and Joshua Openhaymer. His letter criticizes Mubi’s decision to accept an investment of $ 100 million from Sekoia in May, cited the participation of Venture Capital Firm in Defense-Tech Startups with direct relations with Israeli’s intelligence.
The letter stated, “The financial growth of Mubi as a company is now clearly associated with the massacre in Gaza,” stated that a battlefield installed by Israeli military veterans pointing to Sex’s investment of 2024 in Banana, a battlefield operating system. Filmmakers argue that the association contradicts Mubi’s identity as a platform committed to global cinema and social responsibility.

The Mubi, which issued a statement earlier, stated that investors’ ideas do not reflect themselves, refused to comment on the letter.
