Fire Force Fans can finally rejoice as the much-awaited Season 3 has been confirmed for a split cour release starting April 2025. Crunchyroll made the official announcement during its panel at Anime Expo 2024, revealing that the anime will return for its final season, which will be split into two parts, with the second cour airing in January 2026.

The latest trailer reminds fans of scenes from previous seasons, while also showing new confrontations between the characters of Arthur and Shinra. One of the most striking images is a mysterious moon in the sky. Along with the trailer, a key scene shows protagonist Shinra Kusakabe standing in the middle of a city engulfed in flames.

Fire ForceThe anime based on Atsushi Okubo’s manga is heading towards its climax. With the manga having already ended, the anime has a clear direction for its narrative.
Crunchyroll hints at this with a description of the upcoming season: “Tokyo is burning, and citizens all over the city are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion! The Fire Force is responsible for putting out this inferno, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Now, as part of Company 8, he will use his Devil’s Footprints to save the city from turning to ashes! But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could burn everything down.”
David Production will continue to direct the animation, maintaining the high-quality visuals that have captivated viewers since the anime debuted in 2019. The first season was directed by Yuki Yase, while Tatsuma Minamikawa took over for the second season.
