Surrey Police Service (SPS) officials responded at the scene at around 4:40 pm, while employees were present inside the premises, no injuries were received. However, the authorities have not yet detected the motive behind the attack.

After the incident, the public has been asked to assist in the investigation. Local residents were awakened with the sound of bullets.

After the news broke, Kapil’s fans took on social media and expressed their concern. An X user wrote, “What is a comedian issue with Kapil Sharma? Why is the gang targeting him.” “It’s very shocking,” wrote another.

This is the second such incident in the cup cafe. Earlier, in the second week of July, an unknown person had removed at least nine shots at the outlet a few days after its opening.

Cafe remained closed for ten days after the first attack. In a social media post after reopening, the cup cafe said, “We opened the cup cafe with the hope of bringing warmth, community, and happiness through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. The difference of violence with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”

Cafe had said that they would stand against violence for their visitors to keep a symbol of “warmth and community”. Just a few days before this latest incident, Cafe posted a reel posted by Surrey Police Service officials visiting the outlet.
