Veteran Hindi film actor Manoj Kumar died in Mumbai after battling a long illness. He was 87 years old. The major Indian personality, including actors Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpayee and filmmaker Karan Johar, paid tribute to the icon on Friday.
While his passing marks the end of an era, Manoj Kumar leaves a huge heritage behind which resonates in generations. His films were statement of identity, nationalism and human struggle. As a tribute to the icon, here is a look at 10 of their most defined tasks. Manoj Kumar was also known for patriotic films, which helped define the ideas of Indian nationalism. Mohanlal-Starrer L2: EmpuranDirected by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is receiving huge response in theaters, has become a matter of warm debate on his criticism of right -wing politics and secret mentions of Gujarat riots. The Sangh Parivar came up with criticism of criticism against the film on social media, while a part of the Congress and the left platforms persuaded the film to portray the right -wing politics as a “villain”. Script writer Murali Gopi said that people have expressed their views against it, and others have accepted it. The manufacturers later opted for 24 “voluntary cuts”, total 2.08 minutes, Mohanlal expressed “regret” for “crisis” due to my loved ones.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition leader (LOP) VD came out firmly in solidarity with Satathesan manufacturers. While Prithviraj’s mother, Mallika Sukumaran publicly defended her son, the film’s producer, Antony Perumbur, dismissed the reports that Mohanlal lacked knowledge about the content of the film. Meanwhile, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) condemned the individual attacks that are facing Mohanlal and Prithviraj, while the producers removed the name of Union Minister and actor Suresh Gopi from the “special thanks” section of the film. Despite the cuts, the film’s producers continue to face oral attacks from right -wing organizations and leaders.
