Director Rian Johnson has shared the first look of Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc on the sets of the much-anticipated film ‘The Last Laugh’. knives out Sequel, wake up dead man,
Johnson’s tweet was captioned, “And here we go! Today is the first day of shooting on Benoit Blanc’s next mystery film ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ – see you on the other side,” marking the start of shooting for the next film in the Knives Out series.
The upcoming film, written and directed by Johnson, is set to deliver another interesting murder mystery with the typical cast of the film series. Returning as the shrewd Southern detective Benoit Blanc, Craig is joined by a star-studded cast including Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close Daryl McCormack and Josh Brolin.
knives out The franchise, a modern take on the classic whodunnit, began with the 2019 film of the same name. The original film, featuring an impressive cast including Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and the late Christopher Plummer, was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $310 million worldwide and earning an Oscar nomination for its screenplay. Following this success, Netflix acquired the rights to two sequels in a landmark $450 million deal. The first sequel, The Glass Onion: A Knives Out MysteryStarting in 2022.
