Singh revealed the rigorous preparation he went through to bring authenticity to his character. “We had intensive workshops. I met some real police, female police in Punjab, understanding how difficult it is to actually live in a masculine culture and still stand out. It was not just workshops and meeting real police, but also reading the script over and over again and making it my own,” she explained.

He also recalled his most challenging day on set: a night shoot where he faced his first action sequence. “It was a night shift. I was very nervous. I didn’t know what was going to happen. I met our action choreographer, Amrit Pal, and he asked me if I had done action before. When I said no, he suggested I start from zero. I was ready to learn. I was ready to surrender and understand how to do it. And I remember we took the first shot, and I was holding the gun. Sudeep sir came to me and Whispered, ‘Don’t be afraid, Mona. Let’s do it again.’ Then I think I got into it. I liked it very much.”
There are a lot of expectations from Barun Sobti
Returning to the series, Sobti shared his hopes for the second season. “Generally, people do the first season well, and the follow-up to the second season is not very well. So I said, yes, Fog season 2 is going to be something that will top the first season.” he said, indicating a commitment to exceeding audience expectations.
Sudeep Sharma on the pressure and passion behind season two
Sharma discussed the challenges of moving on after a well-received first season. “I don’t think anyone should take these things so seriously, that we got so much love, or that the reviews were so good. You forget the good and bad reviews you get. But as always, the pressure is there to do something good. I think the pressure, rather than being comparative or relative pressure, is of the hard work we’ve put in. You know, it’s taken us two and a half years to make something like this, from the time we started writing it until now. A long time to do that. It took something. And at the end of it, if it doesn’t turn out good, it feels like a waste after putting in so much time.
Fog Season 2 promises to be a gripping continuation of the investigative drama, with a blend of seasoned performances from new faces, intense action and the careful storytelling that earned the first season widespread praise.
