Dave Grohl has made a confession about his marital life. The Foo Fighters frontman took to social media on Tuesday to admit to having an affair outside his marriage and fathering a child. In the shocking statement, the 55-year-old revealed that he is now struggling to “gain back” the trust of his wife Jordyn Blum and their three children.

“I recently became a father to a new baby girl, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote in a post on Instagram. “I plan on being a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he added.

Grohl and the former model have three daughters: Violet May, 18; Harper Willow, 15; and Ophelia Saint, 10. “We are grateful for all your consideration for the children as we move forward together,” the guitarist said. The former Nirvana drummer met Grohl, 48, at L.A.’s Sunset Marquis whiskey bar in 2001.
At the time, Grohl was sure he’d never “get the chance” to date Blum, he told Q magazine in 2017. “By the end of the night I was annoyed and I was staring at her and saying, ‘You’re my future ex-wife.’ So she gave me her number: ‘Jordan, your future ex-wife,’” he recalled.

Despite being swept up by the former MTV producer, the rock singer stopped meeting her after a few dates. “When I first met my wife, we went on a few dates and I decided I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I stopped calling,” Grohl told Elle in 2017.
