Customized with his bestsailing memoirs and acclaimed single stage shows, production is now globally available, providing listeners an emotional, unfundled journey through high and heart breakdown of his extraordinary life.
Drama Queen Charts through Suchitra’s rollercaster trip through fame, heartbreak, maternity and redistribution. Now turned into a richly created audio drama, it brings a powerful story to a broad audience, which is no longer limited to the theater hall, but now there is global streaming on the audio.
Production includes Sujata Kumar as Amma, Suchitra Pillai as a doctor, and Arif Zakaria as Pankaj. Celebrity cameo includes depiction of Karan Johar, Ram Gopal Varma, Nagesh Kukunur and Kane Ghosh.
For Krishnamurti, the project is both personal and poignant. “During the drama queen performances, I lost many of my family members – my sister Sujata Kumar, who gives voice to Amma in the show, my parents, and my two cute dogs, cupcakes and muffins – all of whom were central for sports. Died at the end of 2023. The voice, the voice, and my memories returned to life,” she shared. “The drama queen can now be heard from anyone, anywhere, from Virar to Vancouver, it is finally out in the world – and it fills my heart with joy.”
