George Clooney reflects on the experience of working with Brad Pitt
In a conversation with People, Clooney first joked about the best part about working with Pitt, saying, “Nothing about it is good. It’s all a disaster.” He then honestly replied, “It’s fun working with people you know really well.” Their first shared project was Ocean’s 11 in 2001 and they have been close ever since. Since then, the two have been seen together in various films such as the Ocean’s trilogy, Burn After Reading and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and are now starring in his latest release, Wolves.
In a recent interview with GQ, Clooney and Pitt also opened up about their friendship and how they support each other when things get a little tough. “We’ve been friends for a long time. And it’s fun because we check on each other every now and then, which is an important part of it. Things get complicated in life and you always have to make sure everybody’s OK,” Clooney told the magazine.
In the statement, the Fight Club star said that his co-star is “probably the best at understanding the chessboard, looking at it and understanding potential moves. I’ll call George on many occasions when things get difficult.”

George Clooney comments on controversial article
At the film festival, Clooney addressed an article published in the New York Times in which a source claimed the Wolves actor duo were paid “more than $35 million each” for their new film. However, Clooney said, “An interesting article and whatever its source is for our salaries, it’s millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what’s reported.”
He added, “And I’m just saying that because I think it’s bad for our industry if that’s the standard people set for pay. I think it’s terrible, it makes it impossible to get movies made,” ahead of the premiere of his film with Pitt.
