Ghost or deity? Prabhas prepared to rule both screens with ‘The Raja Saab’ and ‘Kannappa’

Prabhas fans are eating well in this season, and two in completely different tastes. On the one hand, we have a supernatural spice of ‘The Raja Saab’, and on the other, the mythological grandeur of ‘Kannappa’. While both projects boast of pan-India ambitions, star-staded casts and rich visual tapestry, the contradictions between them may not intensify. One teaser brings scary laughter, the other divine drama, and both, in its origin, for the purpose of re -presenting Prabhas in fresh avatars.

Let’s break them.

The Raja Saab: Prabhas returns to his roots (with a turn)

The teaser for ‘The Raja Saab’, which falls on June 16, comes as a breath of fresh air, especially for fans craving to see the Lord, tap back into the romantic ‘darling’ personality. Directed by Maruthi, this supernatural horror comedy has all the constructions of a celebrier.

The whispering of curses and hidden treasures, ‘Raja Saab; The teaser sets the stage with a blast, a ghost, vibrant frame, and a playful Prabhas, a fickle in the shadow, declared his love like Shah Rukh Khan in the Hindi teaser.

Raja Saab plot

Prabhas plays a dual role (yes, ‘Kalki 2898 advertisements’ and ‘Salar’ do not forget the disaster), and while a version is your distinctive attractive small town boy in love with Nidhi Arawal’s character, a deep, more mysterious relationship of his other side is a more mysterious relationship for the mansion.

Malavika Mohanan is a passion for him, while Ridhi Kumar brings freshness to the mixture.

The ‘The Raja Saab’ is pepard with a stunning dose of terrible view, retro beats and humor. The haunted mansion can catch the mystery, but the film clearly does not take back in any way when it comes to style.

Raja Saab teaser broke the number of audience

In terms of numbers, ‘The Raja Saab’ teaser is already making waves.

With 31.3 million views in 24 hours in five languages (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada), the teaser now stands as the 7th most viewed Indian teaser. This is not a small achievement.

The film hits screen on 5 December 2025, supported by the People’s Media Factory and directed by Maruthi. And yes, it is going to release a full PAN-India.

From teaser’s bizarre horror-comedy blend to Maruthi’s confident story, here is an indifferent attraction that is clicking with fans, even comparing Prabhas’s early hits like Darling and Mr. Perfect.

Then is ‘Kannappa’, a film is completely different in its vibe and vision. In the Titular role starring Vishnu Manchu, the film tells the story of a fearless devotee of Lord Shiva.

Legend behind Kannappa: Devotion beyond rituals

Kannappa’s soul lies in its source story, which is drawn from Hindu mythology.

A tribal hunter Thinnan becomes one of the greatest devotees of Lord Shiva without any formal knowledge of rituals. That meat, water from his mouth, and whatever is in Shiva Lingam. When the god sheds blood, he sacrifices his own eyes, stops only when Shiva himself appears and blesses him.

This myth is more than a story, it is an emotional epic about the confidence in the form and it is deeply inherent in the Hindu cultural clos, which the film expects to bring to the big screen with a contemporary, visual nature.

‘Kannappa’ teaser

Drawing from these mythological roots, ‘Kannappa’ teaser also gives a glimpse of devotion, sacrifice and astronomical mysticism, appearing through an interesting mixture of a conspiracy inspired by mythology, operated by an artist contingent and an interesting script. And at the center of its latest trailer, is an experienced, who has done mythological and contemporary marriage of a film plaater with films like ‘OMG’. Akshay Kumar, an influential Lord Krishna in ‘OMG’ films, is starting his Telugu as a Stoic and a powerful Shiva after his performance.

Prabhas is also included in a major cameo, although the brief, fan is enough to make the principles wild.

Mohanlal, also, creates a strong appearance, as Kajal Aggarwal does, and together they connect cinematic gravity to the mythological world.

Shooted in some amazing real places, ‘Kannappa’ teaser promises grandeur in its scale and emotional resonance. The trailer is widely filled with aerial shots of temples in dramatic scenes, rituals, blood-pacquilities, tribal clashes and mist covered valleys. The intention is clear: to give a blind spiritual epic, but the reactions are mixed.

While many praised its authentic places and scale, others were overwhelmed by CGI and costume design, claiming that it felt more like a TV serial than a feature film.

Some spectators also noted that the trailer of ‘Kannappa’ reveals a lot. To exclude almost the entire plot arc without leaving a lot for imagination.

Nevertheless, intensive -looking Akshay Kumar, combined with the physical change and honesty of Vishnu Manchu, gives a strong emotional spine to the project.

Prabhas’s inclusion is expected to run the number of spectators in the south, especially in a small role, in a small role.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, ‘Kannappa’ was released a few months before ‘The Raja Saab’ on 27 June, and yes, it is also a pan-India dramatic release.

Prabhas’s upcoming movies

What is attractive how Prabhas stands at the center of these two worlds-in the Horr-Comedy, one leg and in the other mythology. In ‘The Raja Saab’, he is a mischievous attraction caught between love and paranormal, while in ‘Kannappa’, he is part of a more mythically rooted film, where faith, destiny and divine intervention are ruled, such as his previous outing, Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

For the audience, this means that two completely different film experiences offer their own colors with Prabas, which we have not seen in a while, away from the architip of a serious-face warrior and in places of humor, heart and spiritual intensity.

With advance booking for ‘Kannappa’, already creating echoes, especially in Andhra and Telangana circuits, and ‘The Raja Saab’ trending in fan handle despite only one teaser drop, one thing is certain: the box office is for two-dimensional glory.

Raja Saab or Kannappa

If you are remembering the classic Prabhas attraction in a fun, massive setting with ghosts and laughter, then see ‘The Raja Saab’.

Choose ‘Kannappa’ for a spiritual, myth-epic that bows into sacrifice, faith and divine spectacle.

Either way, it is a win for fans – and for Indian cinema, it is a reminder that even in the world of developed styles, Star Power still holds the center stage when dare to use stories.
