Trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming film Gladiator 2The sequel to his 2000 hit film is out now. The film, which is released on November 22, stars Paul Mescal as an adult Lucius, the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and the nephew of Commodus, who was played by Joaquin Phoenix in the original film.
The story centers on Lucius, played by Spencer Treat Clark in the original film, who lives in the North African region of Numidia, where he was previously sent by his mother Lucilla to stay out of the reach of the Roman Empire. However, ongoing events lead him to return to Rome as a gladiator.
The story takes place two decades after the events of the film directed by Russell Crowe. 28-year-old Russell Crowe began shooting the film in 2008. normal people Breakout star Mescal said he is excited for the project.

The film was a huge success, winning five Oscars out of 11 nominations. In addition to the Academy Awards, the Gladiator Won several BAFTA Awards and two Golden Globes.
Ahead of the trailer release, Paramount Pictures also shared the first poster and first look images of the film.
