Govinda’s cameo saves James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’? AI-generated videos are going viral fast!

New Delhi: Netizens are having a field day after some AI-generated images surfaced online showing none other than Govinda as a Na’vi from James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’. Several videos and pictures surfaced on social media, claiming that the actor has made a cameo in the cinematic world. Of course, the claims are false and it turns out that it is AI at work.

Govinda in Avatar: Fire and Ashes

The pictures being shared online show Govinda as a blue-skinned Na’vi, which has created a stir online and fans can’t keep calm. The AI-work looks so real that for a moment there is confusion as to whether it is actually real or fake. Take a look here:

In the AI-video, Govinda is seen as one of the Na’vi speaking the ‘Batti Bujha’ dialogue in the signature blue colour.

When Govinda rejected Avtaar

For starters, Govinda once claimed that Avatar was offered to him once. Speaking to Mukesh Khanna earlier this year, the actor said that he turned down the project because he did not agree with the idea.

News 18 quoted Govinda as saying, “I had also given up the offer of Rs 21.5 crore, although I remember it because it was painful. I had met a Sardarji in America and pitched him the business idea of dealing in sweets and delicacies. A few years later, he said the idea worked wonders for him. There, he introduced me to James Cameron. He asked me to do a film with James, so I met him over dinner to discuss it. Invited.”

“I had also given the title of the picture. I had seen Rajesh Khanna ji with his left hand chopped off… I said, ‘Oh good man, I don’t know why he did such a strange role!’ So I said, ‘Avatar will be made for the second time!’ So he tells me, ‘Hero is lame!’…I say, ‘Lame?’ Govinda! Hello? I’m not drawing your picture!’ He said, ‘I am offering you Rs 18 crore.’ I said, ‘I don’t want your 18 crores.’ He told that this shoot will last for 410 days. I said okay, but if I painted my body I would have to stay in the hospital!”

However, this claim was later refuted by his wife Sunita Ahuja during a podcast with Uoffi Javed.

Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment was released in India on December 19, 2025.
