Yash Raj Films (YRF), MaharajAfter the Gujarat High Court lifted the interim stay on the release of Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Dabangg 3’, the producer of the film has expressed gratitude to the judiciary.
Set in pre-independence India, the historical drama is based on the 1862 Maharaj defamation case. After watching the film, the court said that there was nothing objectionable or derogatory in it and allowed its release on streaming platform Netflix.

Malhotra also shared an emotional note on social media, in which he said that the story of the film is one that needs to be told despite all the difficulties.
He wrote, “The release of a film is like the birth of a child for a filmmaker. A labour of love should be celebrated and announced with excitement. But when you choose to tell a story that needs to be told despite all the odds, the struggle will be tough but hopefully, it will be worth the pain and hurdles because as a team, we are proud of the film we have made – ‘Maharaj’.”
