Ground zero director Tejas Deoscar recalled 26 days of filming in Kashmir’s most unseen corners

New Delhi: Excel Entertainment’s upcoming drama-thriller ground Zero is already making waves with its power-pack trailer, which shows Imran Hashmi as BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. Inspired by true events, the film comes up between 2001 and 2003 – is based on BSF’s best operation in the last 50 years.

Director Tejas Deoscar, who is known for his immersive storytelling, reflects the filming experience in the valley. “Shooting is a very demanding task in itself, and shooting in Kashmir has its own unique attraction. I say ‘attraction’, because despite the challenges, there is an opportunity for a common man to visit places that we were able to thank you for the permissions received and incredible support from the administration of LG. Help us a lot.

I am really grateful to the government and administration for us to open those doors. We managed to do some brilliant filming there. Kashmir, as a place, is breathtaking – it is beautiful, yet soil and raw. The story demanded that we catch these two sides. Since it is set between 2001 and 2003, a period when Kashmir was in a very different position, with its peak terrorism, the contrary. ,

He said, “It was an area that was burning, set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful valleys on earth – often called ‘heaven on meaning’. On the contrary – between violence and heaven – both were unique and deeply unstable.

We had a wonderful execution team – both from Mumbai and local crew. His contribution helped to make the entire process smooth, and it was really a pleasure to shoot there. In 25–26 days, we saw different scenarios, diverse social textures, met local people, and some informative experiences. Often, you only look at such an area through media lenses, but being on the ground provides a very different, more true perspective. We felt right during the shoot.

This was a real experience. I would like to return and shoot more stories in Kashmir. I am sure those stories will be hypnotized as zero. ,
