New Delhi: Excel Entertainment is ready to take the audience deeply with its upcoming action thriller, ground zero in the hearts of one of the most famous and untold missions of the Border Security Force. Depending on a real event and set in Kashmir, the film is creating important discussion before its release – not at least because it made just cinematic history.
In a historic moment for Indian cinema, Ground Zero organized its Grand World Premier in Srinagar, marking the first film Premier in the Kashmir Valley in about four decades. The phenomenon, a specially hosted incident for BSF youth, came out against a powerful background of patriotism, cinematic excellence and cultural revival.
The red carpet was a star-staded affair. Prominent actor Emraan Hashmi, who played the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, made a striking appearance with co-star Sai Tamhankar, who plays his wife. Director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar was also present, along with wife Dolly Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar along with wife Shibani Dandekar, and co-producers Arhan Bagti. His presence, with BSF personnel, had a deep sense of pride and spirit in the evening.
Army officials, who previewed the ground zero, appreciated the film for their authenticity and emotional resonance, given how deeply they were with a realistic depiction of real -life events. He praised the filmmakers for his honest story and praised the artists for giving powerful, hearty performance. Expressing his gratitude, the authorities congratulated the entire team for bringing such a compelling and respectable story to life. As the film approaches its dramatic release, the enthusiasm among the audience continues to promise to be a moving cinematic experience.
The film describes a new chapter for Emraan Hashmi, which will be seen portraying an army officer for the first time in his career. The recently released trailer has already set a tone for an entertaining, emotionally charged story, raising an expectation for how DeoSer will bring this high-day mission to life on screen.
Under the Excel Entertainment banner, built by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the ground zero was Kasim Jagamagiya, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundarp C. Siddhwani, Arhan Bagti, Taliman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy have been co-produced.
Ground Zero is slapped for a nationwide release on April 25, 2025.
