Mumbai: Bollywood Ace designer Manish Malhotra has been made to make her debut as a producer. The actor announced the same on his social media on 24 August. From the title as “Gustakh Ishq”, the teaser of the film is out today and it gives the best, retro and romantic vibes.
The posters that also came up today include Naseeruddin Shah, Fatima Sana Khan and Vijay Verma. While Vijay and Fatima are seen with a lot of love in each other’s eyes, Naseeruddin Shah is watching a cat smiling holding in his hands.
The teaser gives the major retro romance vibes, while the set-up gives a full vintage feel! It has the background song ‘Uljalul Ishaq’, which is a symbol of irrational or obsessive love.
The film will be produced under Manish’s production banner which is known as Stage 5 production. Set in Builan of Old Delhi (Old Delhi) and Punjab’s fading Kothis (Vintage House), “Gustakh Ishq” is a love story of passion and unspecified desire, drawing from a world where architectural memory and music craves.
The film is directed by Vibhu Puri with music by Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulzar by song, Sound by Rejul Pookutty and Cinematography by Manush Nandan. It acts with actors of actors of veteran Naseeruddin Shah to Deft Vijay Verma, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sharib Hasfami.
