Hero Fiennes Tiffin in Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’
Prime Video has ordered Young SherlockA thrilling original story featuring the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, for the series.
Guy Ritchie, who directed two of the films Sherlock Holmes And Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Starring Robert Downey Jr., he is set to direct and executive produce the upcoming show.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin, known for Female King and Richie’s Ministry of Uncivil Warfarewill play the lead role in Young Sherlock.

The eight-episode show is inspired by Andy Lane’s critically acclaimed book series ‘Young Sherlock Holmes’, based on the iconic detective created by author Arthur Conan Doyle.
Matthew Parkhill will be the writer and showrunner for the series from Inspirational Entertainment and Motive Pictures.

“At the age of 19, Sherlock Holmes is unabashed, raw, unfiltered and undeveloped when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University that threatens his independence. Diving into his first case with a lack of discipline, Sherlock manages to uncover a worldwide conspiracy that will change his life forever,” read the synopsis from the streamer.

“We’ll unravel this mysterious character, find out what motivates him, and how he becomes the genius we all love,” the director said in a statement.

With the brilliant creative team led by Guy Ritchie and Matthew Parkhill, we will explore the untold secrets of how young Sherlock found his way through a life of seeking the truth,” said Vernon Sanders, Head of Television, Amazon MGM Studios.
Simon Kelton, who also executive produces the series, conceived and packaged the project with Evan Atkinson, then partnered with Motive, Dhana Gilbert and Marc Resteghini, who developed the series and brought it to Amazon MGM Studios. Gilbert and Resteghini have overall deals with Amazon MGM Studios.
Young Sherlock will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
