Recently, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Government of India has taken a series of anti -counterfeit measures against Pakistan. He has also lived-blocking Instagram accounts of several major Pakistani personalities. Popular figures like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and others have been seen restricting their profiles in India.
Indian users who try to look at these accounts read a message: “The account is not available in India. The reason is that we have complied with a legal request to ban this material.”
Despite the restrictions, many Indian fans have discovered ways to stay associated with their favorite Pakistani stars. Some have moved to VPN (virtual private network) services to bypass Jio-block. Another fan said, “Membership of Hello Hania VPN Lia Sairaf Tumre Rhythm. (I have just bought a VPN membership for you). Love India.” Hania wrote, “Love you.”
On 22 April, 25 Indian tourists and a Nepali citizen were killed in the deadliest terrorist attack in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorist attack ignited a fresh demand to ban Pakistani artists working in India.
Additionally, India reduced diplomatic relations with Pakistan and announced a fleet of measures, including suspension of the 1960 Indus Water Treaty and the cancellation of visa services for Pakistani citizens.
In vengeance, Pakistan suspended all trade with India including third countries. Pakistan rejected the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty of India and said that any step to stop the flow of water would be seen as a “war work”.
Both countries have closed their airplanes for each other.
