Filmmaker Hansal Mehta expressed his concern over the current status of India’s entertainment industry, which highlights the tendency to produce average content.
In his latest Instagram post, Mehta, who is known for his ideas-eager and socially relevant films, talked about the mass production of films and showed that there is depth and lack of substance.
Praising the British crime drama “adolescence”, Hansal said that while countries around the world are carrying forward the boundaries of creative storytelling, India’s entertainment industry is caught in a cycle of distributing materials that are designed to complete safe, formula and lowest common nallak.
