Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is one of the most funded festivals in India, symbolizing a timeless bond between brothers and sisters. According to Hindu tradition, the dislocated period (late afternoon) is the most sacred to tie Rakhi. If this is not possible, then the Pradash period (early evening) is also auspicious.

1. Morning preparation:

Wake up during the splendor (before sunrise) and take a holy bath.

Demonstrate Dev and Pitra Tarpan to honor the gods and ancestors.

In some areas, men perform Upma rituals in the morning.

2. Choosing the right time:

For maximum spiritual benefits, perform the protective bonding ceremony during disproportionate.

3. Preparing Raksha Potli:

Ingredients: unbroken rice, white mustard and gold threads.

Wrap them in a colored cotton or woolen cloth to make protective bundles.

4. Pooja rituals:

Demonstrate ghatasthhapana (establishing a sacred urn).

Worship Bhudeva (Brahmin) and provide clothes.

Place the protective bundle and pray for worship.
