Bringing down the curtain on the “Rockstar Romanticism” chapter in his latest song 200, NCT’s Mark Lee officially heats up his self-proclaimed post as a South Korean web-crawler, taking on a side quest that his fans can collectively Also accepted.
As a jack of all trades, Mark has cemented his promising aura as one of the leading rappers of the K-pop scene. However, it cannot be denied that if a South Korean does open up for the Spider-Man position, he will unquestionably be one of the top contenders for the position.
Lee has flagged this possibility before. Joining Eric Nam in The Debunk Show Season 3 Episode 15, he took ownership of his Spider-Man responsibilities: “If (Marvel) ever needed an Asian-looking Spider-Man, it would have to be me.”

Initially proud of the great responsibility brought by his fans into the spotlight, Mark eventually showcased the Spider-Mark alternate reality in the 200 music video released on May 16. While introspecting on his latest project, Mark opened up about the deeper meanings of his song’s lyrics and the vision that drives its story. Mark confirmed that his inspiration for 200 was the timeless and always relaxed vision of coming-of-age films, dating back to the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man films that began with the Homecoming chapter in 2017. Mark confirmed, “I thought of Tom Holland and his school… with that kind of coming-of-age setting… this story was born.”
With 200 and his previous solo musical efforts – Child and 200 – Mark has just given us a taste of what’s to come. His artistic journey is all set to blossom into a rich garden of stories in February 2025. The anticipation for his long-awaited debut solo album is palpable, as it will mark the beginning of a journey that has been more than a decade in the making.
