The singer-composer was cremated in Juhu, Mumbai. Several photos and videos of him have surfaced on social media. In a video, Himesh is seen coming out of the crematorium, in which he looks emotional and folds his hands to express gratitude to the photographers gathered outside the crematorium.

In other videos and photos, producer Ramesh Taurani is seen coming to pay his condolences. Shaan, Farah Khan along with her brother Sajid Khan and actress Kishwar Merchant also attended the funeral. They were seen consoling the family at the crematorium.

About his death

Himesh’s father and music director Vipin Reshammiya passed away on Wednesday evening. He was 87 years old. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. It is being told that he was suffering from breathing problems and age-related health problems.

The news of his demise was confirmed by a close family friend Vanita Thapar. etimes“Yes, he had trouble breathing. He was at Kokilaben and he passed away at 8.30 pm tonight,” Vanitha said.

“I am a family friend, like family. I used to call him papa since he was making TV serials. Later he became a music director and then Himesh followed in his footsteps. We both have a very close bond. Numerologist Anup Singh and I were also very close to him,” Vanita said.

Himesh’s family also released a statement on his demise. It read, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our beloved father Mr Vipin Reshammiya on September 18, 2024. He was a kind soul with a heart full of love, his presence brightened the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, fond memories and timeless music.”
