It will soon be a year since Hina Khan revealed her stage three breast cancer, and the TV star says the difference between 2024 and 2025 is that she has only grown stronger.
The 37-year-old actress, best known for shows like “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” and “Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2”, said she is staying professionally active during her treatment to help her get back to “normalcy” at work while battling the disease. Stayed.
“I am still the same Hina. I made sure to normalize it (the cancer diagnosis) and feel normal. Since my chemotherapy started, I have been working, shooting, traveling and have even completed dubbing. I did my ramp walk… I completed my radiation session and came here (for the interview). If my body allows, I will (work),” Khan told PTI in a video interview.
In July 2024, the actor announced her cancer diagnosis in an Instagram post, in which she assured fans that she was doing well and had begun treatment.
Khan said he has no words to express the love and support he has received from his followers and others on social media.
“Even in my dreams I never imagined that people would react this way or shower their love. And, not just love. The way people prayed for me, the way they wrote to me.. .
“People have done so many things that I have cried many times. All I can say is that I am blessed… By the grace of God I am sitting in front of you. I have recovered to a great extent.” This is only because of the ‘dua’ (prayers) of millions of people.”
The actor, who has also appeared in reality shows “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8” and “Bigg Boss 11”, will soon be seen in the upcoming web series “Griha Lakshmi”.
Set in the fictional town of Betalgarh, the story revolves around an ordinary housewife Lakshmi (Khan), who stumbles upon a stash of charas during a police chase and turns into a drug lord. It will premiere on EPIC ON on January 16.
Khan, who was diagnosed with the disease after finishing the shooting of “Griha Lakshmi”, described her character as a simple and family-oriented woman.
“She works as a maid in different houses. She loves her family. (She has) small dreams. One fine day when everything changes and a time comes when she somehow He has to manage the financial condition of his household, he has no other option (but to become a drug mafia).” “Griha Lakshmi” also stars Chunky Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rahul Dev, Harish, Abhishek Verma, Ankit Bhatia and Kunj Anand in lead roles.
The seven-episode series is directed by Ruman Kidwai and produced by Kaushik Izardar.
Even though the shooting was “hectic”, Khan said that he enjoyed working with all his co-stars on the show.
