Hina Khan wrote an inspirational note amid her battle with breast cancer, saying- I am scared but wounded

Mumbai: After being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, actress Hina Khan opened up about her journey and wrote an inspiring message for all the men and women fighting this tough battle.

Hina wrote on Instagram story on Sunday, “A glimpse of my journey. This is for all the courageous women and men out there fighting this tough battle… I want my journey to be so courageous and inspiring that people can turn a new page in their own stories. And remember, even though we may be scared, we must not be afraid. #DarnaNahiDarna.”

On Saturday, Hina reacted to the support she is receiving from fans and celebs, saying this phase will pass.


On his Instagram, he wrote a note that read, “This too shall pass,” and he also added a smiley and heart emoji to express his gratitude for the love and support he has received.

The actress also added the song ‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’ from Ranbir Kapoor’s film Sanju to her story.

Hina confirmed on June 28 that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

The ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress revealed that she has started treatment and her condition is improving and she is fully committed to overcoming the disease.

Hina posted on her Instagram, “Hello everyone, Speaking of the recent rumour, I would like to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and all the people who love and care about me. I have been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I would like to assure everyone that I am fine. I am strong, determined and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has begun and I am ready to do whatever is necessary to come out of this even stronger.”

She added, “I ask for your respect and privacy during this time. I deeply appreciate your love, strength and blessings. Your personal experiences, anecdotes and helpful tips will mean so much to me on this journey. I remain focused, determined and positive along with my family and loved ones. By God’s grace, we are confident that I will overcome this challenge and make a full recovery. Please send your prayers, blessings and love.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress gained immense recognition with her role in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. She is also known for her negative character Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. She was recently seen in Shinda Shinda No Papa and Ritam Srivastava-directed comedy-drama series ‘Namakool’.

Talking about her experience of shooting for ‘Namakool’ in Lucknow, she had earlier said, “Shooting in Lucknow was a wonderful experience. I loved my stay in the city. The people there were really nice, and the food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed tasting all the local delicacies that the cast and crew made me taste. Overall, it was a great experience shooting there.”

Set in Lucknow, the series revolves around two friends, Mayank and Piyush, who seek fame and popularity as they enter the second year of college.
