Khan’s section, titled SetraA 15 -year -old Afghan brings life to a girl’s visit, who has come to Melbourne after escaping from the Taliban. She finds her feeling of belonging through family tension and previous trauma through cricket.
“It was a story of upliftment because Setra’s dream was fulfilled through cricket, and to do so to show a city with the heart. It’s an important story to tell the world that if you see immigrants and refugees in just one perspective, they will never be able to contribute to society.

Khan’s relationship with Afghanistan initially started as a documentary filmmaker and later filming his first film, Kabul expressThe director said that he unknowingly gets ready for stories from the war affected country.
“I have spent a lot of time in Afghanistan. I live through experience. I have seen what is going on. So, there is an understanding of the subject. The Taliban took over again, but I am still in touch with the people. My experience as a documentary filmmaker helped me while making this film, ”he said.
“In a certain sense, that’s why I get ready for some such subjects because I know this world, I know people, and know their problems, and they give me a status to be able to tell me this story,” the director said.
For an authentic portrayal, Khan made a deliberate option to cast Setra in the title role of his short film instead of choosing for a famous star.
“We wanted to keep it real. Why burdens with a star? For me, the story is about this girl, Setra Star is, “he said, he said that he did some workshops with Setra and encouraged him to embrace his true self instead of acting.
