Hyuna and Yong Jun Hyung may reportedly tie the knot after confirming their relationship earlier this year. The couple is planning a wedding on October 11.
Hyuna and former Highlight member Yong Jun Hyung, who announced their relationship in January this year, are reportedly planning to get married. The couple made their romance official by posting a photo together on Instagram with a ‘lovey-dovey’ emoticon. This comes after Hyuna’s breakup with her ex-boyfriend Dawn, whom she reportedly dated for six years before calling off their engagement and eventually announcing their breakup by mutual consent.

On July 8, an exclusive report from South Korean media outlet YTN confirmed that the former Wonder Girls member is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend, whom she has been dating for about six months. The report further claimed that the couple has reserved October 11 for their special day. As for the wedding, it is speculated that it will be held in Seoul only. The insider who spoke to the media outlet explained the situation as ‘too early to get married’, and insisted that the couple is confident in their love.

Agency reacts to Hyuna and Junhyung’s wedding rumors
Yong Jun Hyung’s agency Black Maid was the first to react to the wedding rumor that has sent fans into a frenzy. In a statement provided to Newsen, the agency said, “This is the first time we are hearing about this. We will release a statement after confirming the facts.” Meanwhile, Hyuna’s agency AT Area is yet to react to the reports.
“They have been friends for a long time and understand the challenges of the entertainment industry very well. Their trust and faith is strong as they comfort and empathise with each other,” an insider previously told YTN. “They have recently gone from friends to lovers and have decided to get married because they are confident about their love,” the source stressed, adding that they are looking forward to seeing them make a stronger comeback with more positivity after marriage.

After splitting from her longtime partner Dawn in November 2022, the K-pop star found love again with Yong Jun Hyung. Hyuna, who split from JYP Entertainment in 2008, joined Cube Entertainment where she debuted with new girl group 4MINUTE. Similarly, Yong Jun Hyung, 19 at the time, made his debut with Cube Entertainment in the six-member boy group BEAST. On the work front, Hyuna returned to the music world after a two-year hiatus with her new mini-album Attitude, released on May 2.
