New Delhi: Director Atley is making headlines for various reasons. The filmmaker recently received an honorary doctorate from Satyabama University in Chennai on Saturday evening. On the joyful occasion, the director of ‘Jawan’ finally addressed the criticism he received, called all his films ‘copy’.
The filmmaker who spoke at the event said, “Generally, there is a perception that the films I make are taken here or from there. But I tell you about my life today and give you an example that you can join.”
He also revealed that Vijay’s character Michael Reppan was inspired by Jopabama University founder and Chancellor Jepyar in his 2019 film ‘Bigil’, a gangster-turn-football coach, Jopabama University founder and Chancellor.
