‘I remind me of the hero yet nothing is extraordinary yet’: Twitter reviews for the thug life are a mixed bag

Mani Ratnam’s much awaited gangster drama thug LifeStarring Kamal Haasan, Silambarson TR, and Trisha Krishnan, hit theaters on Thursday and immediately created a hurry to mix mixed reactions on social media. While some displayed the first half and demonstrations of the film, especially Kamal and Simbu’s Comradery, others expressed disappointment over its second half dip, overwhelmed and highly enhanced.

Thug life twitter reactions

Initial reactions to X (East Twitter) praised the film’s early pacing, tone and story style.

One viewer said that the first half developed the classics, writing: “#Thuglife was well built and the decent first half that reminded me of his #Nayakan of #ran and Mani of Kurosova at some places. There is nothing extraordinary after the opening sequence, but nothing is at the same time.”

Offering a more balanced scene, a fan commented: “Surely not as bad as I have been studying since morning. Mani Ratnam’s settled style is very good gangster drama so far in the settled style. Kamal and STR are in their best … Negative will be some of the second parts and interval blocks, but otherwise the film is now liked!”

Another post praising chemistry and scenes said: “A clean gangster drama so far in Mani Ratnam style.

A dye-hard lotus fan described it as a cinematic talent, tweeting: “Hatters, trollers, fekari, poisoning @Kamalhaasan has seen all this. You and I believe that common film lovers who spend our own money, who spend our own money.

AR Rahman’s score was also appreciated, although with some cavets: “Just in amazement about the acting of KH in the entire film and STR has also given brilliantly … ARR’s music is a huge strength, but in some parts it felt a bit .. 2 half -poor is suffering from writing!”

The audience disappoints the second half

While the first half earned praise, many spectators felt that the second Act failed to maintain pace. A disappointed fan wrote: “#Thuglife -monumental disaster. As a staunch and a type of fan I am disappointed after #Anedian2. Routine and boring story. A scene is not good either.

Another mentioned the film’s dull pacing and spark deficiency: “#Thuglife had the capacity, but ends stretching. Kamal Haasan provides a solid performance, but his never -ending monologue does not wear you down. Simbu handles his share well, but can not even find a flat second.

For an audience, it was an acting victory, but misses a legend: “#Thuglife – Predictable First Half turns into a half -baked second half. Kamal played a decent role in his best performance as an artist.

Others criticized the originality and storytelling of the film, one called it a mashap: “At the end of the first half, felt that the film is a rehesh and a simple form of Mirzapur and Pallok series.

Confiring Bhavna, another viewer wrote: “#Thuglife: The film begins with an entertaining setup, but it quickly turns into a clich revision story with zero surprise.
